Noel Gilbert Eaton

Mr. Noel Gilbert Eaton, age, 83, of Ararat Virginia, passed away on Sunday, February 23, 2025 at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. He was born on September 16, 1941 in Patrick County to the late Roy and Vera Bowman Eaton. He was a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather who will surely be missed by all who knew him. Left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Sandy Marshall (Billy); grandchildren, Heather Wilson (Joe), Alex Eaton, Evan Marshall (Jessica Lawrence); great-grandchildren, Finley Ray Wilson and Foster Lee Wilson; sister, Eva Wyatt; brother, Clayton Eaton (Valerie); sisters-in-law, Jeanette and Ann Eaton; daughter-in-law, Laura Eaton. In addition to his parents, Mr. Eaton was preceded in death by his wife Effie Ann Cain Eaton; son, Jeffrey Todd Eaton; sisters, Jean Young (Claude), Jan Collins (Hassell). Georgia Edwards (Bud), Betty Johnson (Bill); brothers, Roger Eaton, Terry Eaton, Roscoe Eaton, Dillard Eaton; brother-in-law, Bob Wyatt. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, February 26, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Mountain View Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery with service conducted by Rev. Arlis Thomas. The family will receive friends on Wednesday afternoon from 12:30 PM until the time to leave for the service at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy. The family would like to give special thanks to the staff at the Woltz Hospice Home as well as the Blue Ridge Rescue Squad. The family would also like to thank their family and friends for their prayers and support given during this time.
