Nonnie Lee Tolbert Jones

Mrs. Nonnie Lee Tolbert Jones, age 81 of Cana, VA passed away at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston Salem, March 20, 2008. Mrs. Jones was born August 26, 1926 in Carroll County VA to the late James Noah and Mary Ann Dowell Tolbert. She was a loving and caring mother, grandmother and friend to all. She owned and operated Granny's Corner in Cana, VA. She is survived by four daughters and sons-in-law, Judy and Lloyd Higgins, Ruth E. Jones, Mary Lynn Jones and Anne and Faron Deatherage; two sons and daughters-in-law, Tim and Viola Jones and Ronald and Anita Jones all of Cana; thirteen grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; a brother, Matt Tolbert of Mt. Airy; sisters-in-law, June Tolbert of Cana and Evelyn Tolbert of Eden, NC. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by her husband, Clayton Junior (Tub) Jones; a sister, Ossie Robertson; brothers, Jess, James, Cassell and her twin brother, Lonnie Tolbert. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Saturday, March 22, 2008 at St. Paul Church of the Brethren by Rev. James Jones and Rev. Gary Easter. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday, March 21, 2008 from 6:00 until 9:00 PM at St. Paul Church of the Brethren and at other times at Granny's Corner. Moody Funeral Home in Mt.
