Nora Ann France Anderson

Mrs. Nora “Ann” Anderson, of Mount Airy, North Carolina, went home to be with Jesus on December 5, 2022, from the Joan & Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson N.C.  She was a graduate of Mount Airy High School class of 1956, and she loved her classmates dearly.  She was a devoted wife, a loving and wonderful mother of five, a patient and kind grandmother of eight, and a great-grandmother to two.  Mrs. Anderson was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest John and Georgia Mae France; her son, Billy Anderson, and beloved grandson, Andrew Alderman. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, William “Bill” Anderson; surviving children, Alice Sotti, Susan Anderson, Laura Metts and husband Steven, Sallie Needham and husband Jason; surviving grandchildren, Bailey and Taylor Reynolds, Elijah, Ezra, and Brantley Vernon, Nathan Alderman and Michael Metts; great-grandchildren, Conner Alderman and John Metts; special cousin, Wanda Williams.  Ann had a strong faith, loved life, and she devoted her life to her family.  A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, December 20, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Skyline Memory Gardens with service conducted by Rev. Scotty Bullins. The family would like to send a special thanks to the staff of Mountain Valley Hospice, and the staff of the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson for all the care given to Mrs. Anderson and her family during this time.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice, 1427 Edgewood Dr, Suite 101, Mt Airy, NC 27030 or to the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home 945 Zephyr Rd, Dobson, NC 27017.
