Norma Jean Taylor

Mrs. Norma Jean Vestal Taylor, 63, went home to be with her Lord, Tuesday evening April 22, 2008 at Mountain View Manor Nursing Facility in Bryson City, NC. Born and raised in Surry County, she was the daughter of the late Gurney and Ethel Bryant Vestal. She spent most of the life in High Point, NC and eventually settled in Swaim County, NC. She was also preceded in death by a son Matthew Taylor. She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Walter Taylor; one sister Avanele Martin of Sophia, NC; one brother Bobby Vestal of Sophia, NC and numerous nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday at Rockford Baptist Church Cemetery with services conducted by Rev. Hugh Bryant. The family will receive friends at Moody-Davis Funeral Home of Dobson from 11:00 AM until time to depart to the cemetery.
