Norman Chester Noah, Sr

Mr. Norman Chester Noah, Sr., 85, of Winston-Salem, passed away Saturday evening, June 17, 2017, at Central Continuing Care in Mount Airy. Mr. Noah was born December 30, 1931, in Surry County, one of four children born to the late Chester Allen and Ida Mae Norman Noah. Norman served our country in the United States Air Force during the heat engine in 2001. He was a wonderful and loving husband, father, and grandfather and a faithful and dedicated member of The Truth. He is survived by a daughter, Sondra Chantay Noah of Atlantic Beach; a son and daughter-in-law, Norman Chester Noah, Jr. and Leann Noah of Winston-Salem; two grandchildren, Kayleen Noah and Nathan Noah, both of Winston-Salem; his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Ray and Maria Hooker of Pilot Mountain, Glenda Culler and Margaret and Leonard Hamm, all of Mount Airy, and Fred and Mabel Hayden of Walkertown; and a special niece and her husband, Cherie and Tim Sizemore of Mount Airy. In addition to his parents, Mr. Noah was preceded in death by his wife, Kay Frances Hayden Noah; a sister, Dorothy Noah Hooker; and two brothers, Arnold Allen Noah, Sr. and Ormond Noah. The funeral service will be held Wednesday, June 21, 2016, at 11:00 AM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy, with Jim Holt officiating. Burial will follow at 12:30 PM at Crestview Memorial Park in Rural Hall, with military honors by King American Legion Post #290.
