Mrs. Novella Mae Gwyn Inman, 89, of 154 Lone Ranger Trail, Mount Airy, passed away Monday, February 7, 2011, at Northern Hospital of Surry County. She was born December 24, 1921, in Carroll County, VA, to the late Andrew and Rose Gwyn. She retired from Perry Manufacturing and attended Tabernacle Baptist Church. Surviving are two daughters, Willa Dean Inman Queen and Sherry Inman Cecil, both of Mount Airy; two grandchildren, Roland Keith Gunter of Mount Airy and Cheryl Dean and Scott Belcher of Mooresville; four great-grandchildren, Eva Mae Elizabeth Queen of Mount Airy, Nicholas Queen of Philippines, Trista Belcher and Carly Belcher, both of Mooresville; and two sisters, Bertha Stevens of Westfield and Dorothy Easter of Mount Airy. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Inman was preceded in death by her husband, Wilmer Lee Inman and her daughter, Shelby Jene Inman; two sons-in-law, James Wilmer Queen and Bill Cecil; two grandsons, Danny Ray Queen and James Harold Queen; a sister, Beulah Gates; and a brother, John Wesley Gwyn. The funeral service will be held Thursday, February 10, 2011, at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy, with the Rev. Robbie Vance and Mr. Ferris Simpson officiating. Burial will follow in the Inman Family Cemetery in Westfield. The family will receive friends Thursday from noon until the time of the service at the funeral home.
