Odell Samuel Fain

Mr. Odell Samuel Fain, age 92, of Elkin, passed away Saturday, October 24, 2020 at his residence. He was born November 20, 1927 in Stokes County to the late Samuel Buford and Dollie Light Fain. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son-in-law, J.D Prim; brothers, Elwood and Billy; sisters, Beulah, Gracie, Myrtle and Ethel. He is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Kathryn Fain; daughter, Dinah Prim; granddaughters, Susan (Jerry) Mabe, Christy (Jason) Hutchens and Sharon (Jeff) Collins; great grandchildren, Kristin (Brandon) Gentry, Dustin Oliver, Kayla Shelton, Paige (Scott) Sherrod, Makenzie (Kyle) Matthews, Andrew Hutchens, Nicole Collins, Sydney Collins and Luke Collins; great great grandchildren, Rylan, Addie Jae,Skylar, Drake, Deliah, Sadie and Penelope.

The funeral will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, October 26, 2020 at Volunteer Primitive Baptist Church in Pinnacle with Reverend Jimmy Joyce officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. For the protection of everyone due to COVID-19, there will be no visitation, and that social distancing and the use of masks be practiced by all who attend. In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made to  Mountain Valley Hospice, 401 Technology Lane, Mount Airy NC 27030. Moody-Davis Funeral Service in Dobson is serving the Fain family
