Ola Mae Callahan Branch Brindle

Mrs. Ola Mae Callahan Branch Brindle, age 98 of Dobson passed away on Sunday morning April 19, 2009 at her daughters home in Apex, NC. She was born in Surry County on May 22, 1910 to the late Thomas Jefferson Callahan and to the late Stella Williams Callahan. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two husbands; Jesse Branch and Foley Brindle, one daughter Beulah Marion; two infant sons; John Lee Branch and Bobby Jesse Branch, six sons; Calvin, Norman, Franklin, Wesley, Arnold and Herman Branch, and by one brother and three sisters. She was retired from Procter Silex in Mt. Airy. Ola loved her family and the simple things in life. She was a wonderful Mom and her children and family will miss her greatly. Surviving are three daughters and sons-in-law; Lucy Branch of Elkin, Faye and Royce Webster of Apex, Stella and Allen Seagroves of Apex, one son and daughter-in-law; Elder Willie and Joanne Branch of Mt. Airy, several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren, three sisters and brother-in-law; Grace White of Elkin, Maggie Slate of Mt. Airy, Gertrude Wall of Pinnacle and Marie and Richard Butner of Winston Salem, and by two brothers and sisters-in-law; Dee and Vergie Callahan of Winston Salem and Junior and Syble Callahan of Westfield. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday April 21, 2009 at Little Vine Primitive Baptist Church with burial in the Church Cemetery. Elder Avery Branch will conduct the services. The family will receive friends at Moody-Davis Funeral Home in Dobson on Monday evening from 6 until 8 PM.
