Mrs. Ola Fayrene Coe Doss, age 91, of Dobson, passed away Thursday, July 4, 2024, at The Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home. She was born December 11, 1932, in Surry County, to the late Parry Ace Wilson Coe and the late Maggie Mae Wolfe Coe. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Wilbur Lee Doss; sister, Betty Woosley; brother, Ralph Coe; and son-in-law Johnny Snow.
Left to cherish her memories are her daughters and sons-in-law, Deborah Doss Snow, Janet Doss Singletary (Don), Rebecca Doss Norman (Brian); son and daughter-in-law, Tommy Doss (Kim); grandchildren, Jennifer Reaves, Elizabeth Snow, Brandi Sullivan, Kayla Crawford, Kelsey Norman, Adam Doss, and Ashley Doss; great grandchildren, Katie Hall, Carson Hall, Brianna Sullivan, Mckenzie Sullivan, Samantha Sullivan, Josephine Sullivan, Preston Crawford, Landon Crawford; great great grandson, John Michael Frye; sister, Geraldine Draughn; a niece, Beth Bailey.
Mrs. Doss was a lifelong member of Stony Knoll United Methodist Church, retired from Copeland Elementary in the cafeteria and was a bus driver. She dearly loved her husband, Wilbur, her four children and all her grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Her one great great grandchild John, held a dear place in her heart. She was a homemaker who loved sewing, cooking, baking, gardening and canning. Visitation will be Sunday, July 7, 2024, from 3:00-4:00 PM at Stony Knoll United Methodist Church. The service will begin at 4:00 PM, in the church, with Adam Doss officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home, PO Box 315 Dobson NC 27017 or to the Stony Knoll United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund, C/O Kay Crouse, 105 Stratford Place, Dobson NC 27017. Moody-Davis Funeral Service in Dobson is serving the Doss family.
