Oliver Benton Seal

Mr. Oliver Benton Seal age 86 of 100 Ridge Crest Lane, Mt. Airy, NC widower of Mrs. Gertrude Shelton Seal passed away Friday night, October 27, 2006 at Northern Hospital of Surry County. He was born August 28, 1920 in Surry County to the late William Lonzo and Ella Haymore Seal. He was retired from the US Army having served during World War II and Vietnam War. He was a member of Antioch Baptist Church. Surviving area two daughters and sons-in-law, Pat and Allan Kluttz, Kernersville, NC, Susie and John Oxley, Locust Grove, GA, four grandchildren and spouses, Samantha and David Blake, Lexington, NC, Alana and Brett Charlton, Apex, NC Ben Oxley, Locust Grove, GA, Olivia Oxley, Locust Grove, GA, three great grandchildren, Isolde Elizabeth Blake, Isabella Grace Blake, and William David Blake III all of Lexington, NC, three sisters, Bessie Johnson, Mt. Airy, NC, Helen Hayes, Pilot Mountain, NC, and Alice Horton, Greensboro, NC, a brother and sister-in-law, Cecil and Margaret Seal, Mt. Airy, NC, three aunts, Elizabeth (Lizzie) Hawks and Josephine (Josie) Seal both of Mt. Airy, NC and Rilla Evans, High Point, NC; Special friends Mike Dillon and Wayne Sink both of Midway and a host of other friends from the Midway community. In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Seal was preceded in death by a son Harold Thomas Seal, a daughter, Isolde Temples, three brothers, Roger Seal, Herman Seal and Robert Seal. A memorial service will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, October 31, 2006 at Antioch Baptist Church. Rev. Dale Wallace will be conducting the service. The family will receive friends Tuesday immediately following the service at Antioch Baptist Church. An interment service will be held on Thursday November 2, 2006 at 11:00 AM at the National Cemetery in Salisbury, NC.
