Ollie Mae Childress

Mrs. Ollie Mae Hudson Childress, 75, of Mt. Airy passed away Monday, March 28, 2022, at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston Salem.  She was born in Surry County on March 15, 1947, to the late Ambrose and Jenny Surratt Hudson.  Mrs. Childress was a loving homemaker who will be dearly missed.  She is survived by daughters, Bobbie Marshall, and Monica Marion; a son, James Ray Childress; seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; a sister and brother-in-law, Merkie and Sam Edwards; brothers and sister-in-law, Ed and Faith Hudson, and Roscoe Hudson; many nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Childress was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Ray Childress; a daughter-in-law, Tressie Childress; a sister, Mary Ellen Weatherman; a brother, Lonnie Ray Hudson.  A graveside service will be held Friday, April 1, 2022, at 3:00 PM at Little Vine Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Jeff Wall officiating.  There will not be a formal visitation at the funeral home.  Moody Funeral Home in Mt.
