Opal Percy Easter Bedsaul

Mrs. Opal Percy Easter Bedsaul, 90, of 36 Walker Drive, Lambsburg, VA, passed away Wednesday morning, September 8, 2010, at her home. Mrs. Bedsaul was born October 21, 1919, in Carroll County, VA, daughter of the late James and Martha Leonard Easter. She retired from Cross Creek Apparel after 54 years of service and was a member of Lambsburg Christian Church. She is survived by a sister-in-law, Mildred Bedsaul Walker of Lynchburg, VA; several nieces and nephews; and several great nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Bedsaul was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Porter Bedsaul; a sister, Ocie Easter Chappell; and two brothers, Glenn Easter and Herbert Easter. The funeral service will be held Saturday, September 11, 2010, at 11:00 AM at Lambsburg Christian Church, with the Rev. Ron Schwarz and the Rev. Jerry Keegan officiating. Burial will follow in the Chestnut Grove Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy, where her body will remain until carried to the church to lie-in-state 30 minutes prior to the funeral service.
