Opal May Light

          Mrs. Opal May Spence Light, age 88 of Stuart, passed away Sunday, January 19, 2020 at Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson, North Carolina.  She was born in Patrick County on April 26, 1931 to the late Preston and Jenny Holt Spence.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Light was preceded in death by her husband, Jessie Light; three brothers, George, Bronzie and Curtis Spence; and two sisters, Mildred Spence and Ann Austin.

          Mrs. Light is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Larry Garland and Christy Light of Patrick Springs; a daughter, Alma Lou Willard of Stuart; and two grandchildren, Emily Light and Alyssa Light; and several nieces and nephews.
