Opel Maggie Retha Teague

Mrs. Opel Maggie Retha Teague, age 89 of Ridgeway passed away Friday morning at her home. She was born on Feb. 23, 1917 in Surry County, NC. She was preceded in death by her husband, William "Bill" Teague; and 10 brothers and sisters. She was a member of Maple Grove United Methodist Church in Mt. Airy, NC.
Surviving are two daughters, Linda Cassell of Ridgeway, Shirley Handy of Antioch, TN; two sons, Roger William Teague of Ridgeway, Robert Lee Teague of Sanville; seven grandchildren; and 16 great grandchildren.
There will be a graveside service held Monday, September 11, 2006 at 2:00 PM at Maple Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Bruce Johnson officiating. The body will lie in state for one hour prior to the graveside in the church. The family will also receive friends Sunday from 2 to 4 at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart and at other times at the home of her daughter, Linda Cassell, 5010 Greensboro Rd., Ridgeway, VA.
