Ora Mae Fletcher Davis

Mrs. Ora Mae Fletcher Davis, 91, widow of Mr. Charlie Davis, of Copeland went home to be with her Lord on Monday May 26, 2008. She was born in Surry County on October 2, 1916 to the late to the late R. D. and Minnie Lee Martin Fletcher. She was a homemaker and a dedicated member of Double Creek Church of Christ. A loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, she leaves behind to cherish her precious memory her loving children Peggy Littell of Dobson, Charles and wife Brenda Davis of Dobson, Frank and wife Laura Davis of Mount Airy; a step daughter Shirley Mooney of Dobson and a step-son Allen and wife Sherrill Davis of Boonville; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a sister, Carol Fletcher Collins of Winston-Salem and numerous extended family members. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday May 29, 2008 at Double Creek Church of Christ with Ministers Roger Sickmiller and Robert Parrish officiating. Burial will follow in New Home Church of Christ Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 7 to 9 PM at Double Creek Church of Christ where her body will remain until the hour of the service. Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to New Home Church of Christ Cemetery Fund c/o James Draughn 4064 Simpson Mill Road Dobson, N.C. 27017.
