Ms. Ora Lee McCraw, 94, of Cana, VA passed away on Friday morning, April 20, 2018 at her home. She was born in Carroll County, VA on February 1, 1924 to the late James Isaac McCraw and Rosa Ann Vernon McCraw. Ms. McCraw was retired from Perry Manufacturing after many years of dedicated service. She was a loving sister, aunt, and friend who will be deeply missed. She had a love and passion of sewing, quilt making, gardening, and canning her veggies from the garden. Ms. McCraw is survived by a brother and sister-in-law, Silas and Barbara McCraw; special nephew and care giver, Greg McCraw; and many other nieces and nephews; and two special and loving caregivers, Ashley McMillian and Deidree Speas. In addition to her parents, Ms. McCraw was preceded in death by four sisters, Carrie Hawks, Dora Kotila, Thelma Kane, and an infant sister; by four brothers, Garland, Troy, Arthur, and Calvin “Jake” McCraw;. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday afternoon, April 23, 2018 at Moody Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Roland McCraw officiating. Burial will follow in the McCraw Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday, April 23, 2018 from 1:00 – 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial contributions be made to Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care, 401 Technology Lane, Suite 200, Mount Airy, North Carolina 27030.
