Ora Ellen Adams Norman

Mrs. Ora Ellen Adams Norman, age 94 of Elkin passed away on Monday morning February 15, 2010 at Elkin Heath Care. She was born on May 21, 1915 to the late Mahlon and Almeda Hodge Adams, in addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Earlie Norman; one daughter Mary Florence Norman; and three sisters. She was a member of Mitchell River Primitive Baptist Church and was a homemaker. Surviving are two and daughters and sons-in-law Cramer and Jerry Gentry of Zephyr, Mamie and Charlie Teague of Madison; one son and daughter-in-law James and Joan Norman of Dobson; four grandchildren Ellen Bullin, Mary Hutchens, Linda Nelson, and David Gentry; six great-grandchildren Hannah, Rachel, Deborah, Joseph, Matthew, and Jared; by three great-great grandchildren Abigail, Elly, and Audrey. A Graveside service will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday February 17, 2010 in the Union Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Moody-Davis Funeral Home on Wednesday from 12:30 PM until 1:30 PM.
