Oscar Alvin Dodson

Mr. Oscar Alvin Dodson, 90, of Mt. Airy passed away Thursday, May 16, 2019 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston Salem.  He was born in Surry County on September 7, 1928 to the late Oscar Amos and Virginia Easter Dodson.  Mr. Dodson retired from Northern Hospital of Surry County, and was a faithful member of Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church.  He is survived by daughters, Deborah Wolfe, and Ramona Dodson; a sister and brother-in-law, Opal and Dwight Dollinger.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Dodson was preceded in death by his wife, Miranda Lee Goins Dodson; a sister, Olgia Snider.  A funeral service will be held Sunday, May 19, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church with Dr. Chris Benfield officiating.  Burial will follow in Skyline Memory Gardens.  The family will receive friends Sunday from 1:00 until 2:00 PM at the church.  Moody Funeral Home in Mt.
