Mrs. Ossie Marie King Golding, 71, of Cana, VA, passed away Wednesday, June 9, 2010, at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem. She was born April 6, 1939, in Carroll County, VA, to the late Frank and Gladys Jones King. Mrs. Golding retired as a cafeteria worker from the Carroll County School System and was a member of Oak Ridge Baptist Church. She is survived by a daughter, Michelle Watson and her friend, Roy Mitchell, of Dobson; a son and daughter-in-law, Wesley and Trudy Golding of Advance; two grandchildren, Kayla Watson and her fiancée, Jonathen Wilmoth, of Dobson, and Joshua Golding and his friend, Lindsay Goad, of Charlotte; four sisters and two brothers-in-law, Dot Tolbert of Mount Airy, Connie and Clinton Cagle and Hazel and Verlon Combs, all of Cana, VA, and Betty Leftwich of Myrtle Beach, SC; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Darrell and Marie King and Otto and Joan King, all of Cana, VA; and special friends, David and Theresa Hughs, Jo Brannock, and Belinda Draughn. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Golding was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Golding; and a brother, Curtis King. The funeral service will be held Friday, June 11, 2010, at 2:00 PM at Oak Ridge Baptist Church, with the Rev. David "Buster" Sechrist officiating. Burial will follow in the Flower Gap Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday one hour prior to the service at the church.
