Ossie Mae Hiatt Mobley

Mrs. Ossie Mae Hiatt Mobley age 83 of 2678 Wards Gap Road, Mt. Airy, NC wife of Mr. George Henry Mobley passed away Sunday afternoon, August 6, 2006 at Northern Hospital of Surry County. She was born February 3, 1923 in Carroll County, VA to the late Ephriam Alfred and Lula McCloud Hiatt. Mrs. Mobley was retired from Spencer's Inc. and was a member of the Ward's Gap Full Gospel Mission. Surviving are her husband, George Henry Mobley of the home, a son-in-law, Walter Reid, Mt. Airy, NC, five grandchildren and four spouses, Tina and Bill Black, Rural Hall, NC, Kristal and Keith Tickle, King, NC, Joey and Kelly Reid, High Point, NC, Ashley Mobley, Winston-Salem, NC, Amber and Jeff Freeman, Pinnacle, NC, five great grandchildren, two sisters and a brother-in-law, Verlie and Tommy Sheppard, Mt. Airy, NC and Stella Ayers, Greensboro, NC. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Mobley was preceded in death by a daughter, Mrs. Wanda Reid, a son Danny George Mobley and by three sisters, Hallie Easter, Hassie Chandler and Viola Doss and two brothers, Carlie Hiatt and Odell Hiatt. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, August 9, 2006 at Moody Funeral Home Chapel of Mt. Airy conducted by Rev. Craig Edwards. Burial will follow in the Oakdale Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6:30-8:30 PM Tuesday night where her body will remain until the hour of the service.
