Otis B. Clement

Mr. Otis B. Clement age 94 of 5224 Ararat, Hwy., Ararat, VA husband of the late Elizabeth Allie Boyles Clement passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday June 16, 2007. Mr. Clement was born in Patrick County on January 2, 1913 son of the late Raffie A. Clement and Minie K. Ayers Clement. He was a retired farmer and a Patrick County school bus driver for thirty years. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Louis G. and Kathy Clements of Ararat, VA; grandchildren, Christine Peeler and husband, John of Clarksburg, MD and Michael Clements and wife, Jenny of Columbia, NC; step granddaughter, Amy Owen and husband, Eric of Mead, CO; great-grandchildren, Samantha Peeler, Aly Peeler and Kara Peeler all of Clarksburg, MD; step great grandson, Neill Raymond of Mead, CO; sisters, Lela Bowman of King, Florence Fain and Phyllis Foley both of Stuart, VA, Irene Belton, Gerlene Booker, Loraine Bowman and Pam Bowman all of Ararat, VA and Pansy Faye Hunter of Mount Airy. In addition to his parents Mr. Clement was preceded in death by three infant sons, Douglas, Jerry and Wayne Clement and four sisters and four brothers. The family would like to express a special thanks to his care givers, Hospice and Team Nurse. Graveside services will be held on Monday, June 18, 2007 at 11:00 AM at Clement Family Cemetery. The service will be conducted by Rev. Barry Clement. The family will receive friends at Moody Funeral Home on Monday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 AM and at other times at the home of his son. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care 401 Technology Lane, Suite 200, Mount Airy, NC 27030 or to the Clement Family Cemetery c/o Charlie Clement 7101 Ararat Hwy. Ararat, VA 24053.
