Mrs. Pamela Lynn Hawks King, 58 of Mt. Airy, passed away Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at her home. She was born on May 4, 1958 in Surry County to Robert Bobby Hawks and Juanita Lucas Hawks. Mrs. King was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend who will be dearly missed by all that knew her. Mrs. King is survived by her husband, James Columbus King of the home; a daughter and son-in-law, Tabitha King Barnard and Justin of Mt. Airy; a son, Christopher James King and fiancé Brittany Kane and her son Braden of Mt. Airy; a step-son and daughter-in-law, Travis King and Kelly of Mt. Airy; two granddaughters, Ainsley Jade Barnard and Ellie Grace King both of Mt. Airy; and a brother and sister-in-law, Tim Hawks and Melessa of Dobson. In addition to her parents, Mrs. King was preceded in death by a brother Robby Hawks. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 29, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church with Rev. Bill Spurlin officiating with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, October 28, 2016 at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy from 6:00 – 8:00 PM.
