Pansy Wood Hazelwood

Mrs. Pansy Wood Hazelwood, age 86, of Claremont, NC, passed away on Monday, March 28, 2016, at her home. She was born February 22, 1930 in Surry County, NC to the late Rancy and Lottie Simpson Wood. She was a loving mother and homemaker and of the Baptist faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Junior Hazelwood; three sisters and three brothers. Surviving are her daughters, Judy Ann Meredith of Mt. Airy, NC and Patsy Benfield of Newton, NC, her sons, Sammy Lee Wood of Claremont, NC, Charles Junior Wood of Newton, NC, and Ricky Reece of Newton, NC; 14 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Lillie Isaacs of State Road, NC. Funeral Service will be held Saturday, April 2, at 2:00 pm in the Moody-Davis Chapel with burial to follow in the Little Vine Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation for Mrs. Hazelwood will be one hour prior to the service.
