Mrs. Pansy Mae Key Hutchens France, 90, of Mt. Airy passed away Thursday, January 6, 2022, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Davie County on February 11, 1931, to the late Robert and Frances Hutchens Key. Mrs. France retired from Spencer’s and a faithful member for over 60 years at White Plains Baptist Church. She is survived by a son and daughters-in-law, Thomas Leon Hutchens and Sharon, Rachel Potts; a son-in-law, Don Molina; grandchildren, Tracie Hutchens Whitaker and Hank, Chad Hutchens, Dana Molina Cochran and Mickey, David Molina, Justin Hutchens, Adam Hutchens; seven great grandchildren, and one nephew. In addition to her parents, Mrs. France was preceded in death by her first husband, Lonnie Hutchens; her second husband, Cecil France; a daughter, Shirley Molina; sons, Fred Hutchens, and Chris Hutchens; a sister, Vermell Scoleri; brothers, Ervin Key, and Richard Key. A graveside service will be held Sunday, January 9, 2022, at 3:00 PM at Bessie’s Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery with Dr. Jonathan Casstevens officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care, 401 Technology Lane, Suite 200, Mt. Airy, NC 27030. The family will receive friends Sunday from 1:00 until 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy. Online condolences may be made at www.moodyfuneralservices.com.
