Patricia "Chick" Ann Phillips

Ms. Patricia Ann “Chick” Bowman Phillips, age 80, of Mount Airy, passed away early Tuesday morning, November 3, 2020 at her home.  She was born in Surry County on February 24, 1940 to the late Neil Garnett Bowman and Linis Lois Lovill Bowman.  She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, friend and a child of God.  She was a member of Woodland Baptist Church in Mount Airy.  Left to cherish her memory are her four daughters, Tammy Vaughn and Mark Noonkester, Shannon and Charles Bingman, Dawn Loftis Jones, and Barbara Ann and Kevin Barker; 9 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents, Chick was preceded in death by her husband, Johnnie Lee Nunn; three sisters, Peggy Bobbitt, Frances McElfresh, and Barbara Bowman; and by two brothers, Herbert Bowman and James Edward “Tony” Bowman.  There are no formal services planned for Chick at this time.  Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is serving the Phillips family.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care, 401 Technology Lane Suite 200, Mount Airy, NC 27030.
