Patricia Ann Lyons

Miss Patricia Ann Lyons, 69, of Mount Airy, passed away Sunday, October 8, 2017. She was born November 27, 1947, in Galax, VA, to the late Garnett Preston and Stacy Daniels Lyons. Patricia retired from Bray’s Recapping Service after many years of service. She is survived by a sister, Garnetta June Patterson; a niece, Shannon Patterson Horvat; and three great nephews, Brian Horvat, Daniel Horvat, and Kyle Horvat. In addition to her parents, Miss Lyons was preceded in death by a nephew, Kenneth Patterson. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, October 11, 2017, at 2:00 PM at Chestnut Grove Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, with Elder Arwood Edwards officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 12:30 until 1:30 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial donations be made to the Chestnut Grove Primitive Baptist Church or the Chestnut Grove Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, c/o Leona Childress, 205 Fowler Circle, Dobson, NC 27017.
