Patricia Ann Miller

Mrs. Patricia Ann “Patti” Hardy Miller, 59, of Thurmond, passed away Friday morning, February 28, 2020, at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem.  Mrs. Miller was born September 17, 1960, in Surry County, the youngest of three daughters born to Margaret Carson Calloway Hardy and the late Ralph Curtis Hardy.  Patti retired from Crossroads Behavioral Health after 28 years of service.  She was a Christian and a faithful member of Piney Grove Baptist Church.  Her love of family and gentle spirit will be remembered by friends and family alike.  She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Dennis Devaughn Miller of the home; two daughters and a son-in-law, Laura and Josh Hazelwood of Dobson and Olivia Miller of Thurmond; a grandson, Brady Hazelwood of Dobson; her mother, Margaret Carson Calloway Hardy of Mount Airy; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Brenda Davis of Mount Airy and Kay and Russell Simpson of Winston-Salem; a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Regina and David Wolfe of Thurmond; and several nieces and nephews.  In addition to her father, Mrs. Miller was preceded in death by her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Dan Devaughn and Peggy Nixon Miller.  A service of worship and celebration of Patti’s life will be held Sunday, March 1, 2020, at 2:00 PM at Piney Grove Baptist Church, with the Rev. Kyle R. Caudle and the Rev. Mark A. Reece, Jr. officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the church immediately following the service.  Moody-Davis Funeral Service in Dobson is serving the family.
