Mrs. Patricia Ann “Pat” Cook Miracle, age 78, passed away on Saturday, March 20, 2021, at Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital in Elkin, NC. She was born in Surry County on August 30, 1942, to the late Rev. Lunford Cook and the late Mary Wilmoth Cook. She was the owner operator of her Beauty Shop and was a member of Salem Fork Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband James Franklin “Jim” Miracle; daughter, Amy Crouse; one sister, Betty Jo White; two brothers, David Cook, Charlie Cook. Surviving is her two daughters and sons-in-law, Amanda and Rodney Wagoner, Mary Ann and Dean Casstevens; son and daughter in law, Monty and Nancy Crouse; three step-children; five grandchildren. Meghan and Justin Snow, Ceth Crouse, Augusta Hill, Cooper Crouse, Hunter Casstevens, Tyler Wagoner; one step granddaughter Lindsey Hayes; two great-grandchildren, Jett Smith, Jacee Smith; four step great-grandchildren; sister, Hallie White; brother, Boyd M. “Bud” Cook; several nieces and nephews; special friend the Miracle family and her special care giver Lara Johnson. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, March 23, 2021 in the chapel of Salem Fork Baptist Church, with burial to follow in the Church Cemetery. Rev. Austin Caviness and Rev. Terry Longworth will officiate the services. Her body will lie instate 1 hour before the service at the church. There will be no formal visitation held, due to COVID restrictions, the family requests all attendees wear a mask and practice social distancing.
