Patricia Ann Richardson

Patricia “Pat” Ann Bowman Richardson, 81, of Mount Airy, passed away at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home, Friday, June 17, 2022. She was born in Surry County, October 26, 1940, to the late Walter Samuel and Susan Creed Bowman. Pat was a member of Westside Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, devoted mother and grandmother, always making each child and grandchild feel special. Pat will be lovingly remembered by her husband Don Richardson; sons and daughters-in-law, Ricky and Joy Richardson, and Chad and Terri Richardson; grandchildren, Sara, Cole, Ty, Gabrielle, and Lucas Richardson. Pat’s life was filled full of the wonderful talents she had such as painting, baking, gardening, sewing and crafting. She worked many years as a hairdresser and as the partner to her sons in the family business, but nothing came before the care of her family. She cherished her sons and grandchildren and went to great lengths to make every day special for them. Granny, as she was known by them, was their biggest fan and greatest supporter. She will be greatly missed by them all.  Funeral services will be held at Westside Baptist Church at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, June 21, 2022, with Rev. Steve Johnson and Rev. Mike Casstevens officiating. Burial will follow at Skyline Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends at the church on Monday evening, June 20, 2022, from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.
