Patricia Blizzard Seagraves

Mrs. Patricia Blizzard Seagraves, 78, of Mount Airy, passed away Thursday, February 17, 2011, at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. She was born August 28, 1932, in Surry County, to the late Hurley Blizzard and Frances Steele. Mrs. Seagraves retired from Hanes Hosiery and was a member of the Methodist faith. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Fred and Sherry Seagraves of Mount Airy; five grandchildren, Jonathan Seagraves, Sydney Seagraves, Michael Tucker, Matthew Tucker, and Summer Glass; a great-grandchild, Haden Goins; a sister, Sandra Isley of Mount Airy; and several special nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Seagraves was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Edwards and Catherine Mathis. The family will receive friends Saturday, February 19, 2011, from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy. A private memorial service is being planned for Sunday. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorials be made to the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home, 945 Zephyr Road, Dobson, NC 27017.
