Patrick Henry Duncan, Jr

Mr. Patrick Henry Duncan, Jr., 77, of 124 Lynda Street, Mount Airy, passed away Saturday, August 28, 2010. Mr. Duncan was born June 25, 1933, in Patrick County, VA, to the late Patrick Henry Duncan, Sr. and Elsie Gates Duncan. He was a veteran of the United States Army, having served in the Korean Conflict, and retired as a driver for wholesale car dealerships. Surviving are several good friends, Christine Berrier, Joey Snow, Sharon and Jeremy Coe, Kenny Smith, John and Bertha Smith, and Mike Smith, all of Mount Airy, and Theresa and Jonathan Moore of King. A graveside service will be held Monday, August 30, 2010, at 2:00 PM at Oakdale Cemetery, with the Rev. Dean Eaton officiating. Military honors will be conducted during the service by the VFW Memorial Honor Guard. Mr. Duncan will lie-in-state at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy on Monday from noon until 1:30 PM. Flowers will be accepted.
