Patsy Ruth Jones Brown

Mrs. Patsy Ruth Jones Brown, 86, formerly of Mt. Airy passed away Friday, December 25, 2015 at Adams Farm Living and Rehabilitation in Jamestown. She was born in Surry County on April 27, 1929 to the late, Lacy Jones, Sr. and Vivian Edwards Jones. Mrs. Brown was a retired Receptionist for Dr. Sykes and was a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church. She is survived by a daughter, Mary Cuadras of Greensboro; a son, Freddy Brown of Mt. Airy; grandchildren and spouses, Jennifer and Amir Hrnjic, Jessica and Agustin Yanez, Erica Martin; great grandchildren, Henry Yanez, Sophia Yanez, and Liam Hrnjic; sisters, Betty Sparger of Jacksonville, Lorraine Allred of Mt. Airy; a brother, Jack Jones of Mt. Airy; many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Brown; sisters, Florence Brown, and Jerry Robison; a brother, Lacy Jones, Jr. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Steve McCreary officiating. Burial will follow in Skyline Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Monday night from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy.
