Patsy Elaine Reece

Mrs. Patsy Elaine Tilley Reece, 75, of Mount Airy, passed away Saturday, July 7, 2018, at Northern Hospital of Surry County.  Mrs. Reece was born August 25, 1942, in Surry County, the daughter of the late Hugh and Linda Combs Tilley.  Patsy retired as a teacher supervisor from Head Start and was a member of New Charity Baptist Church.  She is survived by three daughters and two sons-in-law, Debbie and Bobby Crouse, Kay and David Puckett, and Amy Reece Jessup, all of Mount Airy; four granddaughters, Kristen Puckett Jones, Amanda Crouse, and Kari Elizabeth Jessup, all of Mount Airy, and Katelyn Puckett Cave of Dobson; five great-grandchildren, Natalie Jones, Izzabell Heinke, Daniel Jones, Payten Heinke, and Adeline Cave; two sisters and three brothers-in-law, Judy Ann and the Rev. Earl McCraw and Faye and Bradley Quesinberry, all of Mount Airy, and Andrew Angle of East Bend; four brothers and three sisters-in-law, Jackie Paul and Susan Tilley, Dan Tilley, and Jay Tilley and Robin Sechrist, all of Mount Airy, and Steven and Lisa Tilley of Cana, VA; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Dennis and Judy Reece of Mount Airy; a niece, Sharon Angle Boyer of East Bend; and three nephews, Adam Tilley and Brandon Tilley, both of Mount Airy, and Jacob Tilley of Texas.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Reece was preceded in death by her husband, James William Reece; a son-in-law, Phillip Ronnie Jessup; a sister, Denise Angle; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Cleve and Lona Reece; a nephew, Joel William McCraw; and a special friend, Peggy Fowler Banks.  The funeral service will be held Wednesday, July 11, 2018, at 2:00 PM at New Charity Baptist Church, with the Rev. Hank Robertson and the Rev. Earl McCraw officiating.  Burial will follow at Skyline Memory Gardens.  The family will receive friends Wednesday from 12:00 until 2:00 PM at New Charity Baptist Church.  At other times, the family welcomes friends to the home of Amy Reece Jessup at 243 Ladybug Lane, Mount Airy.  Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is serving the family.
