Patty Bledsoe

Mrs. Patty Sue Riggs Bledsoe, age 72, went home to be with Jesus on Thursday morning April 29, 2021. She was born in Surry County on March 1, 1949, to the late Paul E. and Onita B. Riggs. She is survived by her husband of 53 ½ years, Rev Dennis Bledsoe; a son and wife, Joshua and Lisa Bledsoe of Holly Springs, NC; a daughter and husband, Emily and Rex Stroud of Dobson, NC; two wonderful granddaughters, Abigail and Meredith Stroud of Dobson, NC; and Abigail’s fiancé, Tanner Jackson of Boone, NC. She is also survived by two brothers, Tom Riggs and wife Judy, of Mount Airy, and Terry Riggs and wife Kay, of Mount Airy NC; one nephew, three nieces and several great nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her Flat Ridge Baptist Church family and many friends. Patty loved being part of the Ladies Sunshine Circle, the Care and Share Program, and the Hope Box Ministry. She also enjoyed going with Dennis on many mission trips to Jamaica and being involved in any type of evangelistic work for the Lord. She loved her family with a Godly passion. The family wishes to thank the doctors, nurses and staff of Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital for the services and care provided for Patty. The family will have a private graveside service.
