Patty Sue Bowen Moseley

Mrs. Patty Sue Bowen Moseley, age 87, of Mt. Airy, passed away on Sunday, January 26, 2025 at Central Continuing Care in Mt. Airy. She was born on January 20, 1938 in Carroll County, Virginia to the late Jim and Essie Sawyers Bowen. Mrs. Moseley retired from Surry County Schools where she worked in the cafeteria at White Plains Elementary School for 33 years. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who will surely be missed by all who knew her. Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Becky Gibson (Keith), Rita Creed (Charles), Rhonda McCraw (Mike); son, Russell Moseley (Cindy); grandchildren, Jason Creed ,Daniel Gibson, Josh Gibson (Jessica), Shane Moseley (Billie), Logan McCraw (fiancé Jenna Patton), Melody Cozart (Logan); nine great-grandchildren; sisters, Jane Fulk and Debra Bowen; brothers, Don Bowen (Colleen), Billy Bowen (Helen). In addition to her parents Mrs. Moseley was preceded in death by her husband, Mack Moseley. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, January 29, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Union Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery with service conducted by Pastor Larry Stone. There will be no formal visitation at the funeral home.
