Paul David Hopkins

Mr. Paul David Hopkins, 67, of Stuart, VA, passed away Sunday, August 28, 2022. He was born July 2, 1955, to the late Paul Jefferson Hopkins and surviving mother, Barbara Mitchell Hopkins, 92, of Stuart, VA. Mr. Hopkins served his country honorably in the United States Marine Corps. He was a Lab Technician at Stevens Roofing Systems for many years, and also worked for the Patrick County Administration Offices until retirement. He devoted most of his time to caring for his beloved mother before he passed away. He took great pride in his property and put all his extra energy into maintaining his home and yard. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Vada Hylton Hopkins, of Stuart, VA; his daughters Andrea Lea McAdams and husband Jamie, and Sondra Hopkins Miller and husband Brian; two special grandsons, Alexander Xavier Miller and Draden Travis Goins; and several step-grandchildren, Alexander Scott Miller, Blake Miller, Whitney McAdams and Mallory McAdams. In addition to his father, Mr. Hopkins is preceded in death by a sister, Linda Gail Hopkins. He was deeply loved by his family and they will miss him until reunited once again. The family will hold a private ceremony to honor the life and service of Mr. Hopkins. Condolences may be sent to his mother's church, Fairview Pentecostal Holiness Church in Stuart, VA.
