Mr. Paul David Lee, 51, of Mount Airy, passed away Sunday, November 11, 2018, at his home. Mr. Lee was born July 12, 1967, in Surry County, one of three sons born to Jack Edward and Linda Boyd Lee. David graduated from North Surry High School in 1985. He worked at Spencer’s Inc. for many years, and he later worked as a repairman at IKON Office Solutions. Throughout the years, he worked at Dairy Center at different times, always enjoying locals and good conversation. David was a proud member and past master of King Masonic Lodge #722 AF and AM. He is survived by his children, Eden and Jonathan Phillips of Dobson, Beverly and Coty Sawyers of Ararat, Jonathan David Lee of Dobson, and Matthew Lee of Dobson; three grandchildren, Adilynn Phillips of Dobson, Danielle Sawyers of Ararat, and Marlee Phillips of Dobson; his parents, Jack Edward and Linda Boyd Lee of Mount Airy; a brother and sister-in-law, Steve and Benita Lee of Dobson; three nephews, Jacob Lee of Dobson, Zachary Lee of Dobson, and Peyton Lee of Dobson; and many cousins. Mr. Lee was preceded in death by a brother, John Travis Lee. The funeral service will be held Wednesday, November 14, 2018, at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy, with the Rev. Timmy Crotts, the Rev. Gary Sawyers, and Keith Tickle officiating. Burial will follow Skyline Memory Gardens, with full Masonic rites conducted by the King Masonic Lodge #722 AF and AM. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 12:30 until 2:00 PM at the funeral home. At other times, the family welcomes friends to the home of his parents at 1094 Pipers Gap Road, Mount Airy. Flowers will be accepted, or memorial contributions may be made to Moody Funeral Home, P.O. Box 1288, Mount Airy, NC 27030, to assist the family with the funeral expenses.
