Paul Lewis Sechrist

Mr. Paul Lewis Sechrist, 80, of Cana, VA passed away Thursday, February 21, 2019 at Northern Hospital of Surry County.  He was born in Carroll County on March 31, 1938 to the late General Silas and Cora Johnson Sechrist.  Mr. Sechrist was a retired mechanic, and a member of Holy Cross Missionary Baptist Church.  He is survived by his wife, Peggy Ruth Potts Sechrist; a son and daughter-in-law, Buddy and Donna Sechrist; a grandson and wife, Bryan and Santana Sechrist; a sister and brother-in-law, Ernie Jean and Wade Bowman; a brother, Jimmy Sechrist; several nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Sechrist was preceded in death by a brother, Grady Sechrist.  A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Monday, February 25, 2019 at Holy Cross  Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Butch Holder officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends on Monday at the church from 1:00 PM until the time of the service.
