Paul Sutcliffe

Mr. Paul Sutcliffe, age 86, of Dobson, passed away Wednesday, August 10, 2022, at Novant Medical Center. He was born July 16, 1936, in Chester, PA to the late Howard Sutcliffe Sr. and the late Jane Bullock Sutcliffe. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Howard Sutcliffe, Jr. Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife, Lily Sutcliffe; sons, William Sutcliffe and Jeffrey Sutcliffe; five grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren; and special friends, the Davis family. Mr. Sutcliffe proudly served his country in the United States Air Force, faithfully attended Double Creek Church of Christ as long as his health permitted and worked for General Mills.

            Visitation will be Sunday, August 14, 2022, from 1:00-2:00 PM at Double Creek Church of Christ. Services will begin at 2:00 in the church, with Pastor John Elmore officiating. Burial with full military rites will follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Double Creek Church of Christ Cemetery Fund, 674 Double Creek Church Road, Dobson NC 27017. The family would like to offer a special thanks to Surry EMS and to the staff of Novant Medical Center. Moody-Davis Funeral Service in Dobson is serving the Sutcliffe family.
