Paul Willard

Mr. Paul Willard, age 63, of Ararat, VA, passed away on Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at his home. He was born in Patrick County on December 12, 1957, to the late Tom and Nora May Anders Willard. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who will surely be missed by all who knew him. He had a big heart and was willing to do anything for anybody. Left to cherish his memories are his wife Phyllis Tate Willard; daughters, Samantha Willard, Nora Willard, Crystal Willard, Margie Willard, Amy Campbell, Britany Sawyers; thirteen grandchildren; sisters and brothers-in-law, Shirley and Kenney Hamlett, Martha and Russell McBride, Sarah and Edward Niten; brothers and sister-in-law, Pete Willard, Mark and Penney Willard as well as numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents Mr. Willard was preceded in death by sisters, Mary Willard, Helen Willard; brothers, Thomas Willard, Donald Jewell and David Willard. A service will be held on Saturday, August 21, 2021, at 2:00 PM at Chestnut Grove Missionary Baptist Church with service conducted by Rev. Arlis Thomas. Burial will follow in Creasy Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until time for the service at Chestnut Grove Missionary Baptist Church. For others wishing to pay their respects you may do on Friday, August 20, 2021, between the hours of 12:00 until 5:00PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy.
