Mr. Paul Kenneth Wolfe, age 78, of Dobson, NC, passed away peacefully after many years of declining health on Sunday, August 30, 2020, at his home surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Wolfe was born on September 16, 1941, in Surry County to Edd and Anna Wolfe. He was a member of New Home Church of Christ and attended church regularly as long as his health permitted, even if it meant he had to arrive at church on his golf cart with his wheelchair in the back. Kenneth was a retired farmer. When his health permitted, he enjoyed riding the golf cart and going to auction sales. He treasured the time he shared with his family and thoroughly enjoyed all the family get-togethers which happened quite often. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend who will be dearly missed. Left to cherish his memories are his wife of 59 years, Rhonda Wolfe; his four daughters, Donna Hutcherson and husband, Mark Hutcherson; Debbie Wolfe; Dianne Gentry and husband, Mark Gentry and Dana Marshall and husband, Bill Marshall; six grandchildren, Brandon Hutcherson and wife, Tasha, Kevin Hutcherson; Sarah Lovill and husband, Brodie; Matthew Wall and wife, Shae, Morgan Hall and husband, Hayden and Maddie Kay Mears; three great-grandchildren, Lucas Hutcherson, Silas Hutcherson, and Axl Lovill; one sister, Gaynell Ring; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Mr. Wolfe was preceded in death by his sister, Betty Lou Richardson; brothers, Billy Wolfe and Gray Wolfe. Due to the health concerns at this time, there will be no formal visitation, but anyone is welcome to go by the funeral home to pay their respects on Tuesday, September 1, 2020, from 12:00 pm until 5:00 pm. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, September 2, 2020, at 11:00 am in the cemetery of New Home Church of Christ, with Brother Tim Smith officiating. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care, 401 Technology Lane, Suite 200, Mt. Airy, NC 27030. The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff of Mountain Valley Hospice and Liberty Home Care for the love and care given to Kenneth. The daughters would like to express their heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to their Mama for all of their daddy’s care she has given him over the years. Without her, our time we had with our Daddy would have been shortened.
