Paulette Louise Seivers Logan
May 9, 1946 - October 10, 2023
Paulette Louise Logan, age 77, Mount Airy, North Carolina peacefully passed away on October 10th, 2023 with her loving husband by her side. Paulette spent her life serving her family and helped anyone she saw in need with a Christ-like attitude.
Paulette “Polly” was born on May 9, 1946, to Lois Worrell Brinkley and Henry Lee Seivers Sr, in Mount Airy, Surry County, NC. She was the oldest of six children. Paulette graduated from North Surry High School in 1964 and attended Brigham Young University in Provo, UT.
It was love at first sight when Paulette met Harold Karl Logan in Mount Airy, NC in 1964. They were married in the Los Angeles California Temple on July 20, 1965. She spent many years as a loyal military wife to her husband who served as a Green Beret in the United States Army. She was the loving mother of nine children, Robert, Carol Ann, John, Sheila, James, Dianne, Janet, Sarah, and Richard. She was the grandmother to 36 and great-grandmother to 17.
Paulette was a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints who served faithfully in the Relief Society Presidency, Young Women Presidency, Primary Presidency, as the librarian, a temple worker in the Nashville, TN Temple and Raleigh, NC Temple, and Coordinator in the San Diego, California Temple. Along with her husband, Harold, they served three full-time Military Relations missions for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in the North Carolina Raleigh Mission (2007-2009) assigned to Fort Bragg, NC; Tennessee Nashville Mission (2010-2011) assigned to Fort Campbell KY, and again in the Tennessee Nashville (2015-2017) assigned to Fort Campbell KY.
Paulette drove a school bus for Franklin Elementary School while in High School, she worked for Pine State Knitwear, was the Lead Custodian for Eagar AZ Stake of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Springerville, AZ, Secretary for the Round Valley Seminary in Springerville, AZ, first town Clerk and Recorder for the City of Herriman, UT, and File Specialist for ADCS, Inc (Wilkes Corporation) in San Diego, CA. She was also a referee and scorekeeper for High School and church sports including softball, basketball, volleyball, and baseball.
After Paulette retired in 2006, she enjoyed doing temple work, family history, and crocheting baby blankets for family and friends.
Paulette was preceded in death by her parents, Lois (2015) and Henry (2009), daughter, Carol Ann (1967), and son, John (2018). She is survived by her devoted husband Harold, children Robert (Shelly) Logan, Sheila (Vance) Lindsey, James (Janelle) Logan, Dianne (Dave) Reed, Janet Boyd, Sarah (Brandi) Logan, and Richard (Heather) Logan, sister Rebecca (Ricky Smith), and brothers Junior (Lynn), Michael (Jo), Greg (Janet), and Keith (Julie).
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 14th, 2023 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Mount Airy Ward Building. (162 Temple Lane, Mount Airy, NC)
Burial will follow at the James Monroe Hiatt Memorial Cemetry. The family will receive friends in the Relief Society room from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service.
