Mrs. Pauline Collins Dollyhigh, 81, of 963 Red Brush Road, Mount Airy, went to be with the Lord on Sunday afternoon, August 16, 2009, at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home. Mrs. Dollyhigh was born January 14, 1928, in Surry County, to the late Thomas Jefferson and Lillie Mae Johnson Collins. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Mrs. Dollyhigh was a homemaker and a member of Community Baptist Church She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Ralph Beamer Dollyhigh of the home; a daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Camden Eaton of Mount Airy; three sons and daughters-in-law, Jerry and Ruth Dollyhigh and Gary and Celia Dollyhigh, all of Mount Airy, and Larry and Judy Dollyhigh of Dobson; eight grandchildren and their spouses, Ray and Shana Dollyhigh of Dobson, Shane Dollyhigh of Georgia, Jarrett and Tam Dollyhigh of Colorado, Dan Dollyhigh, Jennifer Dollyhigh, Jason Eaton, and MacKenzie Dollyhigh, all of Mount Airy, and Olivia and Tim Billings of Lowgap; four great-grandchildren, Savannah Dollyhigh of Dobson, MaKaylin Billings of Lowgap, MaKayLa Dollyhigh of Georgia, and Luke Dollyhigh of Colorado; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Viola Bartley of Lowgap and Virginia and Minor Lowe of Mount Airy; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Harvey and Joyce Collins of Winchester, VA, and Joe Bill and Macy Collins of Mount Airy; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Dollyhigh was preceded in death by her stepmother, Lula Collins; two sisters, Hazel Newman and Helen Mae Hale; and two brothers, Raymond Collins and Wilbur Collins. The funeral service will be held Wednesday, August 19, 2009, at 11:00 AM at Community Baptist Church, with the Rev. Kenneth Jessup, the Rev. Joey Jessup, the Rev. Chris McMillian, and the Rev. Randy Bartley officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy, where her body will remain until carried to the church to lie-in-state 30 minutes before the funeral service. Flowers will be accepted, or memorial contributions can be made to the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home, 945 Zephyr Road, Dobson, NC 27017.
