Pauline Hawks Haley

Mrs. Pauline Hawks Haley, 83, of 670 Holly Springs Road, Mount Airy, passed away Thursday, February 23, 2012, at her home. She was born September 8, 1928, in Carroll County, VA, to the late Henry Franklin and Stella Dalton Hawks. She was employed by Northern Hospital of Surry County. Mrs. Haley is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Michelle and Todd Frye of Mount Airy and JoAnne Pope of Smithfield; two sons, Jacob Allen Moorefield of Dusseldorf, Germany, and William Paul Moorefield of Mount Airy; eleven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a brother and sister-in-law, Franklin and Sarah Hawks of Raleigh. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Haley was preceded in death by her husband, John Haley; and two sisters, Lorraine Hawks and Thelma King. A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 25, 2012, at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy, with Brother Pat McCormick officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home, and other times at the home of Michelle Frye, 154 Holly Hill Drive, Mount Airy, NC 27030. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Ladies' Auxiliary of Northern Hospital of Surry County, 830 Rockford Street, Mount Airy, NC 27030.
