Peggy Jean Beck

Mrs. Peggy Jean Gibson Beck, 84, of Pilot Mountain passed away Thursday, April 18, 2019 at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson.  She was born in Stokes County on April 14, 1935 to the late James Millard and Jettie Collins Gibson.  Mrs. Beck was a loving homemaker and farmer, and a faithful member of Brims Grove Baptist Church.  She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Darlene Beck Cain and Grey; a son, Rickey Eugene Beck; grandchildren and spouses, Jennifer Cain Brown and Dennis, Kristi Beck Bourne, Rickey Eric Beck and Malia, Tiffany Cain Comer and Samuel, Garrett Grey Cain; eight great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Beck was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Beck; a sister, Irene G. Poteat; brothers, Paul Gibson, and Rev. Wallace Gibson.  A funeral service will be held Saturday, April 20, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Brims Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Gerald Jones officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends Saturday from 12:30 until 2:00 PM at Brims Grove Baptist Church, and other times at her daughter’s home, Darlene.  Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Brims Grove Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 3509 NC Hwy 268, Pilot Mountain, NC 27041, or to the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home, 945 Zephyr Rd., Dobson, NC 27017.  Online condolences may be made at www.moodyfuneralservices.com.
