Peggy Frances Collins

Mrs. Peggy Frances Wall Collins, age 84, of Westfield, passed away Monday, July 08, 2019, at the Woltz Hospice Home.  Mrs. Collins was born in Surry County on July 16, 1934, to Sam and Alma Bessie Hill Wall. She was loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and dear friend.  Among the many who will always cherish her memory are daughter and sons-in-law, , Wanda and Wade Baker; Linda Bowman, Helen Baker, sons and a daughter-in-law, Terry and Brenda Collins and Curtis Collins; grandchildren, Brandon Baker, Michelle Thompson, Cathy Eaton, Lisa Freeman, Kimberly Holt, Kelly Collins, Jennifer Bowman, Tommy Bowman, Linda Sue Bowman, Sharon Bowman, Crystal Nelson, Pamela Nelson, James Nelson, II, and Terri Sue Collins; great grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Isaiah and Jacob Freeman, Dylan Watson, Dustin and Gage Hurst, Sage Eaton, Ethan Freeman, Austin and Haley Baker, Cody and Lauren Bowman, Andrew Gregory, Emmy and Abby Blake, Megan Gwyn, Madison Nelson, and Mason Nelson, Autumn, Mark and Kirby Chandler, and Paisley Nelson; a great-great child on the way; and a sister, Maxie Gammons.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Collins was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Franklin Collins; a daughter, Margaret Ann Arthur; a son, Ricky Dale Collins; sisters, Stacy Wall, Nelly Hardy, and Carolyn Cook; and by brothers, Raymond Wall, Glenn Wall, and Curtis Wall.  Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, July 10, 2019, at Pine Hill Friends Church by Rev. Darrell Price.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends Tuesday night from 6:00 to 8:00 at Moody Funeral Home of Mt. Airy.  Mrs. Collins will lie in state at the church 30 minutes prior to the service.
