Mrs. Peggy Jean Wall Dollyhigh, 75, of Mount Airy, passed away early Wednesday morning, March 28, 2012, at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. Mrs. Dollyhigh was born August 19, 1936, in Surry County, the daughter of the late George Herman and Pauline Peele Wall. Peggy worked at Renfro Corporation for many years and was also a childcare provider. She was a member of Community Baptist Church. She is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Deborah and Doug Agee of Loveland, OH, and Sharon Strickland of Mount Airy; six grandchildren and their spouses, Brandi and John Watts of Pilot Mountain, Nick and Laura Agee of Cincinnati, OH, Scott Agee, Katie Agee, and Lynn Agee, all of Loveland, OH, and Landon Strickland of Mount Airy; a sister and brother-in-law, Bonnie and Glen Gray of Arcadia, FL; a brother and sister-in-law, George and Mary Ann Wall of Dobson; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Dollyhigh was preceded in death by her husband, Chester Lee Dollyhigh; a son and daughter-in-law, Eddie Gray and Mary Linda Sawyers Dollyhigh; and a brother, Mitchell Ray Wall. The funeral service will be held Saturday, March 31, 2012, at 11:00 AM at Community Baptist Church, with the Rev. Kenneth Jessup and the Rev. Chris McMillian officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy, where her body will remain until carried to the church to lie-in-state 30 minutes prior to the funeral service. The family may also be contacted at the home of Sharon Strickland, 181 Brenda Drive, Mount Airy. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home, 945 Zephyr Road, Dobson, NC 27017.
