Mrs. Peggy Sue Quesenberry Golding, 67, loving wife of Hansel Edward Golding, of Mount Airy passed away at her home on Wednesday, February 18, 2009, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born May 15, 1941, in Carroll County, VA, to the late Joe Bill, Sr. and Addis Leftwich Quesenberry. Mrs. Golding retired from Sara Lee Corporation, where she worked in the pairing department, and was a member of Lambsburg Baptist Church. Survivors include her devoted husband, Hansel Edward Golding of the home; a daughter, Pam Scott of King; two granddaughters, Heather Hawks of Mount Airy and Meagan Scott of King; a sister and brother-in-law, Eva and Brady Lyons of Lambsburg, VA; five brothers and sisters-in-law, L.D. and Judy Quesenberry of Lambsburg, VA, Jerry and Debbie Quesenberry of Mount Airy, Bobby and Teiko Quesenberry of Richmond, VA, Jack and JoAnn Quesenberry, Benny and Diane Quesenberry, all of Oregon; and a special friend, Linda Senter. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Donald Quesenberry and Joe Bill Quesenberry, Jr.; an infant brother; and an infant great- grandson, Makaya Talon Hawks. Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, February, 21, 2009, at Lambsburg Baptist Church, by the Rev. Todd Byrd, the Rev. Jimmy McCraw, and the Rev. Verlon Combs. Burial will follow in the New Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday at the church from 12:00 pm until the time of the service.
