Mrs. Peggy Ann Goad Howlett, 73, of Rockingham passed away Thursday, March 10, 2022, at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst. She was born in Patrick County on November 11, 1948, to the late AJ and Jewel Hill Goad. Mrs. Howlett was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who will be dearly missed. She is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Mark Anthony Howlett and Michelle, Sheldon David Howlett and Christy, and Jonathan Edward Howlett and Kimberly; grandchildren, Jacob Howlett, Tyson Howlett, Randy Lee Moore, Richard Moore, Rene Guinn, Madison Howlett, Tayla Howlett, Renee Howlett, Valli Williams, and Elleigh Howlett; seven great grandchildren; sisters and brother-in-law, Hilda Puckett, Cleo Gammons, Rebecca Minish and David; brothers and sisters-in-law, Wilber Goad and Tammy, Bruce Goad, Cheryl Goad; many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Howlett was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Lawley William Howlett; brothers and sister-in-law, Tom Goad and Toni, Lonnie Jay Goad, Steve Goad; brothers-in-law, Olen Puckett, Eugene Gammons. A graveside service will be held Tuesday, March 15, 2022, at 2:00 PM at Indian Grove Family Cemetery with the Rev. Jonathan Osborne officiating. There will not be a formal visitation at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to kidneyfund.org, or to diabetesresearch.org. Moody Funeral Home in Mt.
