Peggy Marion

Mrs. Peggy Cain Marion, 88 of Mount Airy passed away on Tuesday, June 22, 2021, at her home surrounded by her family. Mrs. Marion was born on March 29, 1933, in Surry County to the late, Floyd and Pearlie Sutphin Cain. Peggy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She will be deeply missed by all that knew her. Left to cherish her memoires are her husband of 59 years, Harlin Marion; a daughter and son-in-law, JoAnn Johnson and husband Walter; two sons and daughters-in-law, Terry Marion and wife Sheila, Timmy Marion and wife Tammy; five grandchildren, Brandon Marion and wife Misty, April Horton and husband Daniel, Todd Dunbar, Chris Lawson and wife Merri, and Matt Lawson and wife Brandy; nine great-grandchildren, Andie, Averie, Mason, Easton, Adam, Ellie, Zachary, Ayden, and Canvas; two sisters, Lannie Cain Lowe and Gerald Cain Richardson. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Marion was preceded in death by three sisters, Hilda Cain Dean, Runnell Cain Hicks, and Estelle Cain Barker; six brothers, Elwood Cain, Leonard Cain, Larn Cain, Delmar Cain, Alvie Cain, Pete Cain; one son-in-law, Roger Dunbar. A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 25, 2021, at 2:00 PM with Rev. David Sechrist officiating. Burial will follow in Skyline Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends on Friday, June 25, 2021, at Moody Funeral Home from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy. Moody Funeral Services of Mount Airy is serving the family. The family would like to thank the staff of Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care for the love and compassion showed to Mrs. Marion during her illness.
